STICK TO THE SCRIPT ... the B-I-B-L-E

Scriptural prayer or scriptural praying can be defined as praying the will of God, which is the word of God.  It is praying God's word back to Him. When we pray the word of God we stick to the script, we say what our Father says and we put Him in remembrance of His awesome word. Scriptural praying produces effective results because it is God's word. Scriptural praying is one of the most effective ways to receive answers to your prayers. John 4:4 tells us that It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word the proceeds out of the mouth of God.

 2 Timothy 3:16 tells us that all scripture is given by inspiration of God, profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be thoroughly furnished for every good work.

Can we agree that without the word of God all prayer is ineffective?
                   

NO WORD - NO PRAYER - NO RESULTS

Effective prayers must have the uncompromising word of the living God that will heal the sick, proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, deliver the oppressed and to destroy the forces and powers of darkness.

Effectively praying scripture allows us not only to quote scriptures but also to reap the great benefits that are available to us as believers.  Scriptural praying:

•  Gives us a prayer vocabulary directly from the Lord
          Pro. 4:20             Romans 15:4           Hebrews 4:12         Eph 3:17 
  
  
•  Gives us specific prayers
          Ps 103                        Ps 107                 Ps 91                    Ps 121
  
  
•  Allows us to increase our faith walk, to pursue His will and His way
         Mark 11:23            Matt. 7:7-9           Rm 1:17              Hab 2:4
  
  
•  Builds our confidence to pray with boldness to defeat the enemy
          Luke 10:19          1JN 5:14         Eph 6:10-17     2Cor 10:3-5
  
  
• Cultivates our relationship with Him intimately, in Him
        Matt 22:27            JN 17            JN 15:7           Acts 17
  
  
• Speak the word only          Matt.  8 the centurion's servant

Your answer to receiving all of your prayers answered is to speak the word of God. Practice using the logos of the word to defeat any trials, tribulations, persecutions or disappointments that try to hinder you.

Just remember, when you put the word of God in your mouth and in your heart, your Godly words shatters and destroys the plan of the enemy and YOU WIN!
